Creating a focus group

What is a focus group?

  • A group of people who get together and take a look at the product and then have a general chat amongst themselves about it.
  • This is all filmed, and can be referred to later on.
  • If someone has a particularly good answer, then feel free to take them out individually and record their answer. Or stop the discussion and record just them speaking.

This is an example of a focus group for a film studies group studying film.

Prepping for Task 3

Today I used Survey Monkey to create three surveys that we will sent out to a select group of people to answer. This will help us with our audience feedback and getting some further information on the demographics and their honest thoughts.

We have sent the survey to about 100 people who are all in the target audience pool, however I suspect that only a fraction of them will respond.
