Evaluation Task 1
In what ways do your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
In this task we had to evaluation how the products we created for a band utilise the conventions and codes of real media products. To do this I looked back on the products I had created and compared them to some real products.
It would seem that for the majority of the time we have been conventional, as we know that is what sells to the audience and the video couldn't physically made without the use of at least some of the conventions . We do have some things that are unconventional that we challenge, namely the panning and sliding edit we use to change location in our narrative. When it comes to the website and digipak, the reason that it may look unconventional is because it is perhaps not at the standard that it could be, and may have to be developed further so that it follows a few more conventions.
